Ken Matsuzaki is a prominent Japanese potter based in Mashiko. After apprenticing with Living National Treasure Tatsuzo Shimaoka, he developed a unique contemporary voice within the Mingei tradition. He is particularly known for his Oribe-style glazes and use of intense firings in his multi-chambered kiln.
