DESCRIPTION

Valya (Valya Roenko Simpson) is a conceptual fiber artist born in the Volyn region of Ukraine. She built a successful career in the textile industry before moving to California. Her work focuses on DNA, cell memory, and human history, often utilizing felt and silk constructions. She has held multiple solo exhibitions at Tsekh Gallery, including 'Everything But Memory' and 'SHE'.
