DESCRIPTION
Mykola Bilous was a prominent Ukrainian painter born in Lisovichi, Kyiv region. He was known for inventing a unique method of color harmonization through inversion, a technique influenced by the Bauhaus school. His works often feature a dark background and a 'poster-like' aesthetic, reminiscent of film frames and theatrical scenes. He was a resident of the Tsekh Gallery since 2007 and was recognized as the best foreign artist at ArtVilnius in 2013. Bilous passed away in 2023.
