Dana Claxton is a Hunkpapa Lakota artist whose versatile practice includes film, photography, and performance. Her work challenges colonial legacies and reclaims Indigenous history and beauty. She is currently a Professor and Head of the Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory at UBC.
