Also known by his hereditary chief name 7idansuu, James Hart is a master Haida carver and jeweler from Old Massett, Haida Gwaii. He is known for his monumental totem poles and bronze castings that blend traditional Haida design with contemporary perspectives, including the Reconciliation Pole at UBC.
