Of Coast Salish and Okanagan descent, Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun uses large-scale paintings to document and promote change in contemporary Indigenous history. His style, which he calls 'visionism,' combines Northwest Coast formal design elements with Western landscape traditions and surrealism to address political and environmental issues.
