Drawing and painting
Born in Santander, Javier Arce's work is defined by a deep investigation into drawing, which he treats as an expanded language in constant dialogue with other media. Much of his recent practice is centered on a shepherd's cabin in the mountains of Cantabria, where he explores themes of identity and the tensions between natural landscapes and contemporary global conflicts.
