Tamás Zankó was an experimental artist who moved to France after the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. His diverse body of work was influenced by lyrical abstraction and Pop Art, and he was also a noted scenographer for theater and opera. He is remembered for his 'painted walls' in Paris and his ability to link art history with daily human experience.
