Guillaume Treppoz

DESCRIPTION

A self-taught artist based in Lyon, Guillaume Treppoz creates paintings that are built literally through the accumulation and saturation of matter. His 'rhizome-like' compositions exclude central points of interest, instead presenting vibrant monochromes from a distance that reveal violent, organic fields of battle up close. He was significantly supported by the late collector Antoine de Galbert.
