DESCRIPTION
Mario Reis is famous for his 'Naturaquarelle' series, where he allows natural bodies of water to act as the 'painter' by submerging canvases into riverbeds. The resulting sedimentary deposits create unique portraits of rivers that document specific places and passing time. His work is recognized globally for its intersection between traditional landscape painting and conceptual process art.
