Nicholas Bodde

DESCRIPTION

Nicholas Bodde is known for his vibrant, geometric paintings executed on aluminum grounds, which emphasize the physical presence of color. His work features horizontal or vertical fields of parallel lines that create shimmering effects and a sense of movement. Drawing on European Constructivism and Color Field traditions, he investigates color as a concrete phenomenon through intense contrast and variation.
