DESCRIPTION
Eli Ruhala is a Texas-based painter who utilizes domestic building materials like drywall and house paint to explore personal narratives and the masking of identity. His work often involves layering romantic fine details that are then partially obscured by primer to reflect the tension between private and public personas.
