A pioneer of Polish conceptualism and kinetic art, Chwałczyk was renowned for his lifelong investigation into the properties of light, shadow, and color. He was a founding member of the Wrocław Group and is best remembered for his 'Reproducer of the Solar Spectrum' projects.
